Staff at parent company of Southern rail to vote on strike action
TSSA says Govia Thameslink Railway plans to close or partially close more than 80 ticket offices and cut more than 40 staff
More than 250 staff at the parent company of Southern will vote on whether to strike in a dispute over ticket office closures and job losses, the transport union TSSA has said.
The union said GTR plans to close or partially close more than 80 ticket offices and cut more than 40 staff. The result of the ballot of ticket office and platform workers at Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) will be announced on 2 September.
