Campaigners brave cold to protest at stations over fare increases
Demonstrations take place across England and Scotland after commuters hit by average increase of 2.3%
Campaigners braved freezing temperatures to protest about the new year’s hike in rail fares at dozens of stations in England and Scotland.
The group Action For Rail staged a variety of station demonstrations after the average increase in fares of 2.3% on Monday or almost four times the rate of inflation.
