Chaos at Clapham Junction after rail power supply problem
Rush-hour commuters stranded on trains outside UK’s busiest rail station with disruption expected until at least 12 noon
Thousands of London commuters have been left stranded on held-up trains after a power supply problem caused chaos at Clapham Junction, the UK’s busiest rail station.
The problem struck in the middle of Thursday morning’s rush hour between Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Common in south London. Services in and out of London’s Victoria station were suspended and the Gatwick Express was unable to run.
