Health officials have told residents near the Fairglen interchange on the A130 in Essex to stay indoors as they warned that smoke from a large tyre fire – which has disrupted road and rail journeys – is likely to cause problems throughout Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at a farm near the interchange off the A1245 and A127 junction of the A130 at about 9pm on Monday.
