London tube strike begins as four unions take action over night service
No tube trains to run Wednesday night and all of Thursday during second strike in a month, as mayor Boris Johnson refuses to offer more money to resolve row
The evening rush hour started early in London on Wednesday as workers tried to get home before a strike closed the capital’s entire tube system.
Members of four unions are taking industrial action for the second time in a month because of a deadlocked dispute over plans to launch a new all-night service next month.
