Network Rail bosses could face grilling over Christmas chaos
Chair of transport select committee expected to ask executives to explain disruption caused by engineering overruns
Senior executives at Network Rail are likely to be summoned to Westminster to explain the engineering overruns that caused chaos for Christmas travellers over the weekend.
Louise Ellman, the Labour MP and chair of the transport select committee, said she was not happy with the company’s performance over the holiday period, which led to major disruptions at King’s Cross and Paddington stations in London.
