The HSE gives guidance relating the operation of lifting equipment. Also published are approved codes of practice on the competence and training of staff conducting lifting operations.
LS&C provides Lorry Mounted Crane training for those persons involved in the use of mechanical vehicle mounted cranes. The training can take place using either the customers own equipment or our own Lorry Mounted Crane.
Candidate Requirements
Whilst there are no formal entry requirements for candidates they should be numerate and literate.
They will need to attend with overalls, gloves hard hat, safety boots and high visibility clothing as the practical elements are conducted outside in any weather conditions.
Course Contents
The course consists of theoretical and practical sessions with particular emphasis on hands on experience of lifting operations.

Testing
Continuous assessments will be made of candidates during the practical elements of the training followed by formal theoretical and practical skills testing in order to demonstrate competence.
Certification
Successful completion of the course will lead to the issue of an accredited ITSSAR certificate.
