Two rival companies are bidding to start a new helicopter service to the Isles of Scilly this spring, the first since 2012
It’s a familiar transport tale but for the people of the Isles of Scilly it’s been a case of waiting six years for a helicopter to the mainland and then two coming along at once.
The Isles of Scilly Steamship Company made a “shock” announcement on Thursday, when it said it would launch its new service from Land’s End airport to the islands in May.
