Zac Goldsmith to resign as Tory MP after Heathrow go-ahead
Richmond Park MP understood to have told local party he will step down after ‘catastrophic Heathrow announcement’
Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith is set to resign his seat in protest after the government gave the go-ahead to a third runway at Heathrow.
Goldsmith, who was the party’s London mayoral candidate, is understood to have told his local Conservative Association that he will tender his resignation.
